If you search why Temu is a risky platform to use, you come up with a long list of standards that they fail to meet. Products on Temu may be cheaply made, break easily, or not match the photos and description on the site. To top all of that off, A U.S. congressional report indicated that Temu does not have an adequate system to audit its supply chain for compliance with anti-forced labor laws, raising concerns that some products may be linked to forced labor in the Xinjiang region of China. So from product quality and safety risks, to data privacy, ethical, and security concerns, Temu has garnered a reputation and connotation in our common vernacular as a "discount" or "lesser" version of something. The Temu version of anything is the fake, the scam, and the cheap knockoff.
